TURF TODAY WITH MATT GOURLAY

Matt Gourlay, the Superintendent of Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, ID, has a deep-rooted legacy in the golf course industry. Born in Canada, both his father and grandfather were superintendents. His mother, with a degree in agriculture, operated a soil-testing business. After struggling with academic probation at Kansas State, Matt found himself eager to learn as much as possible.

Volunteering at major tournaments has allowed him to establish valuable connections, and he now hosts The Albertsons Boise Open, an annual event organized by his course through the Korn Ferry Tour.
